where to start..

 well our two weeks in samoa has been brilliant,

ok, there is no way I'm ever going to use this while travelling as well as email, so for those of you who keep telling me off for not using it, I'm going to post my emails here :D a cop out i know!

quick update on tonga - i'll get round to fiji at some point i'm sure!:

- wed 6th sept lost forever!
- free upgrade with ensuite - yes!
- seeing whales and swimming with them, so very very cool
- staying in the nicest backpackers
- meeting and travelling with Tamsin for our time in Tonga - she rocked, and helped keep Stu in check very well!
- most expensive veg anywhere! 3 dollars for 2 tomatoes and 1 cucumber grrr
- lots of little islands with ship wrecks and nice beaches
- most amazing flight up nroth in a 18 seater plane
- sea kayaking for 12KM, tiring but great fun
- island tour - seeing blowholes, flying foxes, all sorts of veg growing!
- med students and drinking games!
- finding somewhere that sold nice bacon, mmm
- learnign loads of card games from the lovely Tam
- makign friendship bracelets for everyone
- kign of tonga dying! going to his funeral and procession, most unique experience ever
- meeting up with helle again x x

finally got round to doing this - i'm focusing on emails first which isn't leaving much time for LJ. Ok Samoa was graet, a really lovely place, snapshot of memories below, feel free to quiz me on any of these! I can highly reccommend travelling there if you get the chance, they dont get many tourists but are so lovely.

- lots of nice food and good beer but we couldn't afford vodka and coke - grr!
- really lovely people - samoans and tourists - have got a few free beds in Aussie and NZ already!
- being really sick 5 times when scuba diving, well after scuba diving! couldn't equalise my ears so looks like i'm not going to be a diving professional!
- on same scuba course - finding nemo, blue starfish, green,yellow fish!
- seeing and swimming with turtles
- seeing the maddest thunderstorms but losing 4 days of sunshine to them
- finding that 'open' beahc fales are lovely in nice weather but wet and soggy when it rains!
- chirpy geckos - very cute
- bathroom and shower being 100 foot from your hut! the shower being a pipe in the wall! cold showers are not nice every day - i think i still have sand in my hair
- mad/curly/frizzy hair depending on the humidity
- 'boom boom' buses where the sound system costs more than the bus
doing a canopy walk in the trees and climbing the highest tree in samoa at the end
- seeing amazing waterfalls and swimming in deep fresh water pools
- ants everywhere! even in my pants! grr
- gatecrashing a wedding and drinking and dancing till the early hours
- someone being sick on my foot on a bus, nice :)
- fidning really nice tuna sashimi

loads more to tell i think, but we did spend a lot of time on beautiful beaches on the main island and a few days on the other island, which was equally beautiful but very quiet. only us and 6 others - bit too quiet for us! so we spent another 12 hours travelling back to the main island and meeting up with friends we had made there.

In tonga now, will try to do an update on that soon!
